UPFOLD- William (Bill) of Port Colborne passed away peacefully at the Welland County General Hospital on Monday, March 18, 2024 at the age of 93 years, Loving husband of Dorothy, dear father of Debbie (Roland) Barnes and Bill Jr., grandfather of Shane (Monique) Barnes and Shannon Barnes, great grandfather of Teige, Jackson and Hudson, brother of Gwen (the late Paul) Shaver. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Oliver and Dorothy Upfold, his sister Dorothy (the late Frank) Bisnette. William was a police officer in Port Colborne for 27 years. He was a member of the MacNab Lodge #169. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Cremation has taken place. A private family interment will be held at Oakwood Cemetery at a later date. If so desired, memorial donations may be made to ALS Society.
