SARETZ, Inga – (1953 – 2014) – It is with great sadness on February 22nd 2014 at the Niagara Health System in St.Catharines that the Maple Leafs lost their longest supporter, the Beatles lost their truest fan and the Swarorski Crystal Company will be saying farewell to one of their major “stock holders”. Inga was born in Banff Alberta on May 11 1953 to Emma & Ernst Saretz. She will be sadly missed by her brother Fred, sister in law and best friend Laima, and her adoring nieces Heidi (Matt Kelly) and Erin (Scott Fess). She is the proud “Great Aunt” of Patrick & Kaitlyn Kelly. She is survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins in Ontario, Alberta and Germany. She will be missed by her many friends. Inga was employed with the Niagara Regional Police for 34 years and was recently enjoying her retirement which included trips to Europe and many concerts she enjoyed. Her varied interests ranged from Mozart to Metallica and included Shakespeare and Shaw. This past year Inga fought a courageous battle with cancer and finally accepted defeat. Cremation has taken place. At Inga’s request there will be no visitation or service. The Sarertz Family would like to invite you to a celebration of “Inga’s Life” on Saturday March 1st at the Celtic Club, 14 Secord Dr. St.Catharines from 2-5 p.m. Memorial donations if desired can be made to a charity of your choice.
