Sgt. James “Jim” Hugh Williams
September 29, 1953 – April 22, 2014
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Sgt. James (Jim/Jimmy) Williams announce his passing
after a long and courageous battle with Cancer.
Jim leaves behind his loving wife Brenda Williams, sons Derek Sinclair, Chad Sinclair (Heather), Clayton Belisle (Cassie) and daughter Coral Williams.
He will be forever remembered by his Grandchildren Mason Williams, Paige Sinclair, Garrett and Hendrik Sinclair and Wripley, Aurora, Lynkin and Darius Belisle. Jim grew up in Brantford with his Parents Ken (Deceased) and Dolly Williams, Jim was the oldest brother to Linda, Bob, Tom, Kenny, Billy and Donnie Williams.
Jimmy proudly started his Policing career in 1973 with the Moose Jaw Police Service where he served for 17 years. He was also a member of the 20th Armored Regiment, Saskatchewan Dragoons. Jim and his family moved back to Ontario and he joined the Niagara Regional Police Service in 1991. Jim continued to live out his passion to protect and serve the public and build everlasting relationships with his Brothers in Blue for another 23 years. In 2009 Jim was promoted to Sergeant.
As a family man Jim always taught the importance of respect, passion, hard work and love not only to his children but to his grandchildren as well. He was a wonderful example and role model for his family. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Visitation will be held at Hulse & English Funeral Home 75 Church St, St. Catharines on Sunday, April 27th, 2014 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
The Funeral Service will be held at Saint Georges Church 83 Church St., St. Catharines on Monday, April 28th, 2014 at 1:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations to the Walker Family Cancer Centre.
