Message
As you may already be aware, CARP just launched an advocacy campaign and petition to “Put Pensioners First” www.carp.ca/pensioners.
CARP, a national advocacy association representing 300,000 older Canadians, is advocating to change federal legislation to make pensioners a super-priority.
In addition, CARP’s VP of Advocacy, Wanda Morris, wrote a column in the National Post advocating for pensioner protection.

She highlights that current federal legislation allows companies to drain cash from the business and walk away from an underfunded pension. Also mentioned is that other countries do a much better job protecting peoples pension, their deferred compensation.
If you have any further questions specifically about our advocacy, I’d be happy to connect you with Wanda Morris, CARP’s VP of Advocacy.
Please let me know if you’re able to share this with your members. Together, we can create positive change!
Sincerely,
Tamara Cormack
