Death of PPAN Member – (Cst) Steve Agoston

AGOSTON, Steve – In loving memory, the family of Steve John Agoston announces his passing on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at Douglas Memorial Hospital. Born in Kipling Saskatchewan, Steve and family moved to Port Colborne in 1941. Steve went sailing on the boats at age 13, he was employed at International Nickel Plant in 1954, joined Niagara Region Police in 1965 and retired 1996. He has been an active usher at St. Therese Parish for over 10 years. Loving husband of Barbara Agoston, father of Steve Agoston Jr. (Debra Kalman), grandchildren Mark, Adam and Bryan Agoston. Also survived by his dear nieces and families and his sister-in-law Karen. Steve is predeceased by his parents Florian and Mary Agoston, and a nephew Joseph Tober. At Steve’s request, cremation has taken place. The family will gather at St. Therese Parish at a later date for a Memorial Service. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer society, Heart & Stroke Foundation or Ontario Federation of Cerebral Palsy, and appreciated by his family. A special Thank You to Douglas Memorial Hospital Nurses and Dr. Kim Scher for all their compassionate and excellent care, Boggio Pharmacy and Staff and Dr. King.
