Death of Serving NRPS Civilian Member – Shelley Jesik

JESIK, Shelley Elizabeth (nee. Austin) – Passed away peacefully and surrounded by loved ones on Thursday, December 21st, 2017, at the young age of 57 years. Beloved wife and best friend to Frank Jesik for 29 years.

Adoring mother of Cassandra Emilie and fur baby Mica Noelle.

Survived by her parents Robert and Miriam Austin, brother Robert Scott (Heather) Austin and sister Cindy Rockx.

Loving sister-in-law to Rose Jesik, Terry (Ric) Scharf, Carol (Mark) Pioli, Patricia (Ed) Hallet, Peter (Lea) Jesik and Paul (Donna) Jesik. Proud Aunt of Peter, Shaina (Tristan), Jakob,Markas, Steven (Lindsay), Bryson, Lauren, Josh (Catherine), Christy, Brianna, Eric, Devon, Ryan, Nina, Nathan, Noah, Erin, Ethan and Emma. Much loved daughter-in-law of the late Emil and Mary Jesik.

Shelley will be missed by her many relatives and friends, especially Aunt Joy Sullivan, Cousin Kelley Grace and Helen Kozun-Young.

Shelley was born in St.Catharines, March 06, 1961, where she started her family and had the honour of working as a civilian employee of the Niagara Regional Police Service for 38 years. She had many accomplishments, from her musical talents to becoming the Executive Assistant to the Chief of Police. She will miss all the great friends she made throughout her years at the NRPS.

In keeping with Shelley’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Arrangements entrusted to PLEASANTVIEW FUNERAL HOME – 289-650-1730. Her family will receive family and friends at St. Giles Presbyterian Church (205 Linwell Rd. St.Catharines) on Thursday, December 28th from 9:00-11:00 a.m., followed by a Celebration of Life at the church at 11:00 a.m.  Interment will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Hospice Niagara will be appreciated by her family. You are invited to share your condolences on-line at www.pleasantviewcemetery.ca
