Doug Nichol passed away at United Mennonite Home, on Monday, July 26, 2021, in his 80th year. Loving husband and best friend of Diane. Doug worked for the Niagara Regional Police Department for 31 years. The “Slug”, as his golfing buddies call him, was an avid golfer and long time member of 20 Valley Golf Course. Everyone always enjoyed his wit and great sense of humour. He was a very loving, kind and compassionate man. “Dougie” will be greatly missed. Many heartfelt thanks to all of our dear friends for always being there throughout this journey. Special thanks for the wonderful care given to Doug by the staff at “Meadows” at United Mennonite Home. Also, special thanks for the caring support from the Alzheimer Society, Senior Outreach and the LHIN. In keeping with Doug’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no service or celebration of life.
