Ladies and Gentlemen,
Below is a message from a member who experienced an attempted scam on their cellphone. I for one have not experienced messages of this type on my cellphone but have,, as have many others, experienced them on my home phone. If you receive these types of calls hang up. Do not play with these fraudsters.
“I received a scam voicemail on my cellphone from a number listed in British Columbia (778) 734-2853 advising that a claim has been filed against me and that if I didn’t respond to the message, I would be arrested.
I have received these calls before but this is the first one I have seen with this area code. If you wouldn’t mind sending out an email to let our members know should this number show up on their phones.”

Moody’s has issued a press release affirming their rating of “Aaa” for OMERS Administration Corporation, but attached a “negative” outlook to the rating (previously: “stable”). This negative
outlook is solely attributable to the “negative” outlook Moody’s assigned to the Province of Ontario yesterday. OMERS is rated two notches higher than the Province’s Aa2 rating.
