The OMERS SC Board has decided to extend its standard timelines for decision making to allow for additional analysis and direct stakeholder engagement concerning this issue. The latest OMERS Newsletter link can be found at the bottom of this post.

Keep an eye out for another special bulletin in July to announce any proposed Plan changes as a result of the June SC Board meeting. You can also continue to visit the Sponsors Corporation website (omerssc.com) for additional information and updates.

PPAO Info – OMERS’ rating change

Summary:
Moody’s has issued a press release affirming their rating of “Aaa” for OMERS Administration Corporation, but attached a “negative” outlook to the rating (previously: “stable”). This negative
outlook is solely attributable to the “negative” outlook Moody’s assigned to the Province of Ontario yesterday. OMERS is rated two notches higher than the Province’s Aa2 rating.
