Death of Retired NRPS Member (Civilian) – Margaret ‘Peggy’ Burrows

BURROWS, Margaret ‘Peggy’ – Peacefully on Tuesday, August 9th, 2016 at the St. Catharines Hospital at the age of 84. Loving mother of Kelly Taube (James Train) and David Petruk (Marina). Dear grandmother of Rebecca, Rachel and Evan. Peggy will be missed by many and especially by her close friend Al Craig. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation or service. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the HAINE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL , 26 Ormond Street South, Thorold.
Peggy was a civilian member with the Service from November 2, 1981 till she retired on March 31, 1997.

We wish to remind customers to not click on any links or open documents. These fraudulent messages are known as “phishing” and may contain viruses.
If you are not expecting a package, delete the email. If you are, please do not click on the hyperlink. Instead, enter your tracking number directly on thecanadapost.ca site to find out about delivery status.

Death of NRPS Retired (Sgt) Robert “Bob” Glen

IMG_20160710_125348Robert “Bob” Glen – Surrounded by his family, Bob suddenly passed away in his home on Friday, July 8, 2016 at the age of 66. Beloved husband and best friend of 27 years to Joanne. Forever loved father of Derek, Jarod and Jenelle. Cherished Grandpa of Isabella and Austin. Loving son-in-law of Gerry Walker. Dear brother-in-law of Susan Walker, Rose Neale, Michael (Maureen) Walker, Maureen (Paul) Misener, Bonnie (Steve) Taras, Sheila (Don) Hastings and Sharon (Rick) Gingras. He will be greatly missed by his numerous nieces and nephews. Bob retired as a Sergeant after 35 years, with the Niagara Regional Police Service. He touched the lives of everyone he met and will be dearly missed by all. Visitation for Bob will be held at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines, on Monday, July 11, from 7-9 p.m.. A Celebration of Bob’s Life will be held in the funeral home chapel on Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at 11:30 a.m. Cremation to follow the ceremony. A celebration of his life and a reception will follow at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 613, 141 Highway 20 E, Fonthill. In lieu of flowers, donations to the ALS Society would be greatly appreciated.
