Hydro One Sale – Non Confidence in Premier

On May 20, 2015, at the Police Pensioners Association of Ontario Spring Annual General Meeting, a motion of non-confidence in Kathleen Wynn’s ability to lead was unanimously voted upon.
The motion was made after a great deal of discussion on what the effects of the sale of Hydro One will mean to seniors in Ontario.  Please read the attached press release for further details. We also request you forward this information to your membership and invite you to forward the press release to your local MPP and MP.

Death of Retired Inspector Fred Ciszek – March 11-15

Fred CiszekCISZEK, Fred Joseph – Passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family, at St. Catharines General Hospital on Wednesday March 11, 2015 at the age of 85. Beloved husband of 62 years to Irene (Bogdanowicz) Ciszek. Dearly loved father of Fred Jr. (Leslie) Ciszek, Richard (Linda) Ciszek and Lori Ciszek (Vince Fortuna). Cherished Dziadzi of Greg (Jen) Ciszek, Carissa Ciszek (Dave Bartlett), Krystal Warkentin (Brandon Earle), Keeley (Gethan) Rogers, Kyla (Jesse) Krawczyk, Brittney Ciszek and Nicole Ciszek and Great-Dziadzi of Hunter, Peyton and Mackinley. Honourary Dziadzi to many. Mr. Ciszek had a long, distinguished career as an Inspector with the Niagara Regional Police Service, retiring after 37 years of service.
Friends are invited to call at the PATTERSON FUNERAL HOME, 6062 Main St. visiting Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Vigil prayers will be celebrated at 8:45 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of the Scapular Church. The Rite of Committal will follow at Fairview Cemetery. To honour his love of animals, donations in memory of Mr. Ciszek to the Niagara Falls Humane Society would be appreciated by his family. Death of Retired NRPS Sergeant William “Bill” Graham

billGrahamGRAHAM, William “Bill” – Passed away peacefully with his daughters by his side on Monday, January 12th, 2015. Beloved husband of the late Carol (2012). Cherished father of Deborah Graham-Clifford and her husband Joseph Clifford, Pamela Graham and her partner James Beaver. He will be sadly missed by his precious companion Wee Jock. Dear brother of James (Patti) and Helen (Tom) Hamilton and their families. Predeceased by his parents William and Elizabeth. William will also be fondly remembered by his extended family and many friends. William served with the City of Glasgow Police and the Niagara Regional Police in a career that spanned over 40 years. In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place and arrangements are entrusted to theGEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines.
