Death of Serving NRPA Member – Constable William “Sandi” Harrison

HARRISON,William “Sandi” – passed away suddenly at his residence in Ridgeway on Wednesday. February 28, 2018 at the age of 70. Survived by his wife Linda. Sandi was a proud member of the Niagara Regional Police, having entered his 50th year of service.  Sandi started his policing career with the Welland City Police Department on November 21,1968. After amalgamation, Sandi became a member of the Niagara Regional Police Service, having served in several Departments. Sandi’s last posting was with the Centralized Court Unit in Welland. Sandi was well known throughout the community, and always had a joke or story to tell. Benner Funeral Services, 1105 Benner Ave., Fort Erie entrusted with arrangements. Friends will be received at the Funeral Home, on Sunday, March 4, 2018, from 5pm to 8pm. A service, to celebrate his life, will be held in the chapel, on Monday at 11am.  Interment will follow at Ridgeway Memorial Cemetery. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Niagara Safety Village, 100 Niagara College Blvd., Welland, L3C 7L3.
