Death of Retired NRPS Officer – (Cst) Lee Rattray

Quispamsis, NB – It is with great sorrow, the family of Lee Frank Rattray, husband of Elinor (Willms) Rattray, announce his passing on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at the Saint John Regional Hospital.

Born on October 3, 1943, in St. Catharines, ON, he was a son of the late Frank and Arlene (Misener) Rattray. Lee was a Police officer for 29 years for the Niagara Regional Police Department. He enjoyed reading, taking walks, and playing a good game of poker, cribbage, backgammon and undefeated for trivia games. Lee was known for his sense of humor and his infamous jokes.

Besides his wife, Lee is survived by his children; Kim Wasney (Dave), Jennifer Rattray (Mark Hayes), and Cindy Southwell (Brett), Chris Wegener (Tracy), Matthew Wegener (Tammy), and Jolene MacNally, (Ryan), siblings; Bill Rattray (Julie), Mark Thompson, Lewis Thompson, Glenna Elhalali, seventeen grandchildren, and six great grandchildren, sister-in-law Kathy Thompson, as well as several nieces, nephews, and extended family. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Lee was predeceased by his brother, Derry Thompson, and sisters; Marilyn Thompson, and Christine Thompson.
