On April 21, 2026, after a long life of 96 years Harry (Bud) is finally at rest. Reunited with his wife, Gale (Heximer 2017), sister, Frances Leeder (2018), and parents, Mildred Hill (1986) and Harry B. Stitt (1939) Survived by nephew, Pete Leeder and niece, Trish DeGaust.
Harry enjoyed a long career as a Sargent in the Niagara Reginal Police Force until his retirement in 1988. He could then enjoy more rounds of golf, grow a fantastic garden, and get more involved with his church which was very important in his life.
He was lucky to live in an exceptional community for most of his life. He had wonderful neighbours and friends to help him as he aged. Thank you, Ken, for 60+ years of friendship and for all that you have done to make Harry’s wish to come home one last time possible. We are indebted to you. Thank you to everyone who took the time to stop in and visit when he could not get out.
Cremation has taken place and a private interment will be held at a later date. Williams Funeral Services, 722 Ridge Rd N. Ridgeway, entrusted with arrangements.
