FYI – Phishing Email Scam – iTunes APPLE ID

Recently, the below email messages have been circulating attempting to trick the recipient to click a link then enter their Apple ID number. The links found here are NOT Apple support links and have already been disabled, but new ones are probably up and running as soon as the old ones are disabled. Obviously, the text usage in the messages are poorly written and is a hint that it did not legitimately come from Apple or Apple’s iTunes Store Customer Support. Continue reading

Death of Retired NRPS Officer – (Cst.) George Radick

RADICK, George Peter Passed away peacefully at the Welland Hospital on Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at the age of 82. Beloved husband of the late Constance (Connie) nee Teachout. Loving father of Jonathan (Lisa Thompson) and Thomas. Cherished grandfather of Nigel and Jessie. George was a dedicated Niagara Regional Police Officer for 31 years. Family and friends will be received by the family at the PEDLAR FUNERAL HOME, 1292 Pelham Street, Fonthill on Monday, January 21st from 4:00-6:00 p.m. The funeral service to honour George’s life will take place at the funeral home on Tuesday, January 22nd beginning at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Fonthill Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to a charity of one’s choice. Online condolences may be forwarded through http://www.pedlarfuneralhome.ca

Death of Retired NRPS Senior Officer – (Insp) Lorne Lillico

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Lorne Lillico announce his passing on Monday, January 14, 2019 at McNally House Hospice in Grimsby in his 67th year. Survived by his loving wife Sally and children, Allan and Andrea. Lorne will be sadly missed by his siblings, Sharon (David), Stephen, Geoffrey (Gina), nieces, nephews, extended family, and many friends. Lorne worked for 36 years with the Niagara Regional Police Service. In his retirement he loved to golf with friends, spend time at the cottage with family, and travel the world with Sally. We hold him in our hearts. Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life event for family and friends will take place at a later date. Thank you to the staff at McNally House for their compassion and care. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the McNally House Hospice and the West Lincoln Memorial Hospital Foundation.

Death of Retired NRPS Member – (S/Sgt) Peter Race

RACE, Peter December 21, 2018, Winter Haven, Fl. Pete passed peacefully at home surrounded by his loved ones. He was preceded in death by his parents Leo and Leona Race. He is survived by his best friend and soulmate his wife Joyce, son Bill Race, daughter Lisa (Richard) Gadreau, stepchildren, stepmother Doris Race, stepsister Janet (Bill) White, grandchildren and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place. There will be a service and a Celebration of Life at a later date. Pete retired from the Niagara Regional Police after 30 years service as a Staff Sergent.
