Death of PPAN Member – (Cst) Steve Agoston

AGOSTON, Steve – In loving memory, the family of Steve John Agoston announces his passing on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at Douglas Memorial Hospital. Born in Kipling Saskatchewan, Steve and family moved to Port Colborne in 1941. Steve went sailing on the boats at age 13, he was employed at International Nickel Plant in 1954, joined Niagara Region Police in 1965 and retired 1996. He has been an active usher at St. Therese Parish for over 10 years. Loving husband of Barbara Agoston, father of Steve Agoston Jr. (Debra Kalman), grandchildren Mark, Adam and Bryan Agoston. Also survived by his dear nieces and families and his sister-in-law Karen. Continue reading

We have learned that Bill 160 is in the legislature and about to be pushed through with potentially dire consequences to the health system in particular privatization of Hospitals and Clinics. Peacefully, with his family by his side, at Hamilton General Hospital, on Monday, October 2, 2017 at the age of 80. Beloved husband and best friend of Martha for 50 years. Loving father of Lori Smerek (Robert), Barry (Jenny Crowe), Debbie Ardagh (Greg) and Brian (Edel Silke). Proud grandfather of Nicholas, Michael, Maya, Anna, Denis, Benjamin, Keaton, Allison and Eve. Dear brother of the late Allan, Merna (the late Jim), Clare, Dan (Sylvia), the late Holly, Bruce (Florence) and Merry (the late Dick).
