FRALICK, Robert (Bob) – Peacefully on Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at the N.H.S. Welland Site, at the age of 82. Beloved husband of Mary (nee Vitucci) for 60 years. Loving father of David (Debbie), Doug (Shelley) and Darlene (Natalie Martin). Cherished Grandpa of Rachel Kooiman (Stephen), Ricki-Lee Gingras (Gaets) and Ryan. Great-grandpa of Abigail, Elizabeth and Ruth-Anna. Bob will be remembered by his cousin Chuck. Heartfelt thanks to Bob’s friends and past co-workers for their care and support. Bob was an avid outdoorsman who also raised parrots, enjoyed motorcycle riding with his friends and supported his family’s hobbies and interests over the years. At Bob’s request, cremation has taken place. A private graveside service to celebrate his life will held at a later date. Death of Active NRPS Officer – Sgt. Jim Williams

Sgt. James “Jim” Hugh Williams
September 29, 1953 – April 22, 2014

jimmywilliamsIt is with heavy hearts that the family of Sgt. James (Jim/Jimmy) Williams announce his passing
after a long and courageous battle with Cancer.

Jim leaves behind his loving wife Brenda Williams, sons Derek Sinclair, Chad Sinclair (Heather), Clayton Belisle (Cassie) and daughter Coral Williams.

He will be forever remembered by his Grandchildren Mason Williams, Paige Sinclair, Garrett and Hendrik Sinclair and Wripley, Aurora, Lynkin and Darius Belisle. Jim grew up in Brantford with his Parents Ken (Deceased) and Dolly Williams, Jim was the oldest brother to Linda, Bob, Tom, Kenny, Billy and Donnie Williams.

Jimmy proudly started his Policing career in 1973 with the Moose Jaw Police Service where he served for 17 years. He was also a member of the 20th Armored Regiment, Saskatchewan Dragoons. Jim and his family moved back to Ontario and he joined the Niagara Regional Police Service in 1991. Jim continued to live out his passion to protect and serve the public and build everlasting relationships with his Brothers in Blue for another 23 years. In 2009 Jim was promoted to Sergeant.

As a family man Jim always taught the importance of respect, passion, hard work and love not only to his children but to his grandchildren as well. He was a wonderful example and role model for his family. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Visitation will be held at Hulse & English Funeral Home 75 Church St, St. Catharines on Sunday, April 27th, 2014 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
The Funeral Service will be held at Saint Georges Church 83 Church St., St. Catharines on Monday, April 28th, 2014 at 1:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations to the Walker Family Cancer Centre.

FISHER, Samuel Winston – Born in Niagara Falls on April 5, 1940. Samuel passed away peacefully at the Hamilton General Hospital, on April 11, 2014. Samuel was the beloved husband of Andrea (nee Lococo) for 47 years, loving father to Nicole Aubin (Chris), Sam (Ria), and Michael (Mena) and proud grandfather to his “men”, Matthew, Sammy, Lucas, Christian, and Mason. Samuel was predeceased by his parents Felix and Doreen, and the family dog Midnight. Samuel was a proud, decorated, member of the Niagara Regional Police Service, retiring after 30 years in 1997. Samuel’s spare time was spent in his garden nurturing his tomatoes, and tying flies for his passion, fly-fishing. The streams and rivers of Ontario and their fish population can relax now with Samuel’s passing. The family would like to thank the wonderful care Samuel received from the staff at the Hamilton General. The funeral mass will be held at St. Patrick’s Church in Niagara Falls, on Thursday April 17, 2014 at 10 am. A private interment will be held later in the spring.
